About the Illustrator

This is Olivia Susan Hanson's first illustrated book. She is a self-taught artist and has loved painting and sketching from a very young age, winning her first art competition at the age of 4. 

​

She graduated from Cor Deo Christian Academy in 2016, where her father is the principal. 

​

The oldest of four children, Olivia lives on a farm in Hillsboro, Oregon and enjoys long country walks, reading classic literature, and drinking Kombucha.  

 

While merely eighteen years old, Olivia painted all illustrations by hand, without the use of a computer.
